This piece involves a promotion for a program I am starting but think it is worth a read if you are interested in the kind of work I do and what is to come from this Substack. As an engineer by trade, I’m fascinated by the engineering of workouts and program building and will be talking about that a lot in the future.
If you’d like a taste of the kinds of workout programs I do, at the bottom is a link to one of my mobile-friendly workout PDF’s, give it a try! Reminder: You can click the youtube buttons next to the workout title for a video demonstration.
If you do try my workouts, please leave a comment and let me know how it went!
End of Everest
To those of you who may not be familiar. I have been running a workout program for over a year now. Every week I release a week’s worth of workouts for the members of the Gaintrust community to follow along with. Every workout is accompanied with a video demonstration that gets into the details to help people who are more visual learners. I prefer this method because I get to do the workouts one week in advance of everyone following along and any questions people may have will be fresh in my mind having just did them. Well, this week marks the end of our 12 Week Bodybuilding program, Everest. Everest is a 4 block program that changes focus every 3 weeks. We started with back, focusing on increasing the volume for 3 weeks, then switched to chest, then legs, and finally arms - yes arms. While I really enjoyed Everest and will likely revisit for an Everest 2.0 down the line, It’s definitely time to change things up.
Moving Forward: Whats Next
The next program we are running will be a 10-week full body, high frequency program. The idea here is to shake things up and hopefully break through some plateaus. The high frequency approach will be broken up into a ramp-up stage before we jack up the intensity and focus on more strength building and technique. I have run full body programs before and every time I do them I remember why I like them so much and am very excited on getting started.
In addition to the new program we will be including a warm-up routine that we think is necessary for this program. Full body programs tend to hit different, especially early in the program, and a good warm-up is crucial.
If you are interested in following along week-to-week, considering joining us. The community is insanely supportive and from what I’ve observed, the guys and girls who are the most active in the community are the guys and girls making the biggest gains in the gym. It’s very exciting and I hope to see you in there.

If joining the program isn’t your speed, no problem. Every Wednesday, here on Substack, I will be releasing a fresh workout to follow along with with video demonstrations for all workouts by yours truly!
