Take two individuals of roughly similar builds and have them lift the same weight and reps. For the sake of our example, let’s say they’re performing seated calf extensions. You may think these two individuals performing the same movements would result in similar outcomes. They’re both doing the same amount of work — lifting the same weight, for the same number of reps, and are of roughly the same build and size. It must be close at the very least. Let’s talk about three factors that go into whether or not these two lifters are doing similar work.
